PKHour at LACE North 2016

Following a successful launch at LACE South on Saturday, June 11th (Chapman University) we will once again be introducing attendees to the fast paced world of Pecha Kucha. We have two new presentations, never presented at LACE before today. A new venue (Azusa Pacific University) demands a fresh presentation style.

With precise timing and delivery each of the three presenters stepped onto the stage to deliver both a succinct presentation (6 min 50 sec) followed by a dedicated ten-minute Q amp; A session after each of the three Pecha Kucha.

The first presenter to take the stage was Lauren Eichenauer, presenting lessons learned as a novice Toastmaster encouraged to compete in the Club Tall Tale Contest. Considering her acting background, nobody was surprised when she found herself competing at the Division C Contest. Gain some insights into how we can encourage contest participation as well as the complexities of weaving the entertaining tale - how the world became introduced to Flim Flam!

Imagine finally fulfilling your lifelong dream to speak a romance language. David Penrose demonstrated, using "the Fonz" (Happy Days) and Maria Von Trapp (Sound of Music), that learning to speak Italian is easier than changing a tire. Seriously, this content can motivate anyone at any age to learn a foreign language.

Welcome to the stage, our third and newest PKHer, Marina Barbrosa, who in her first attempt brought laughter and tears to an audience excited to learn the art of using the secrets of Storybuilder 101. The framework for her presentation is invaluable in crafting, refining and delivering personal stories to establish rapport, credibility, and connection.

The audience loves the fast paced nature of the PKHour. Inquire as to how you can bring this format to your organization or next event.
